Lanie McKnight

Principal

Lanie McKnight is Cedarwood’s Principal and Curriculum Coordinator. She is the lead administrator for PreK 4's-7th grade.  Ms. McKnight also oversees the Literacy Center, administers academic testing to students, and also supports PLUS and PLUS Support students. Lanie holds a BS degree in Elementary Education from LSU and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. Lanie has served as Curriculum Specialist, Literacy Coach, as well as classroom teacher in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades. Lanie has 23 years of teaching and leadership experience in education. Lanie’s talents and drive for high academic standards serve our students and teachers on our quest for continued academic excellence at Cedarwood.
