Cedarwood School's Extended Learning program, formerly called Extended Day, is designed to continue the students' learning after the bell at the end of the school day. Our goal is to motivate them to connect the value of their questions, concerns, and personal experiences with what they are learning in the classroom. In addition, we want to offer students opportunities to socialize in a supervised, safe and structured setting while they create their own moments and memories of learning. This setting is designed to give the student the freedom away from classroom curricula to create their own teaching moments. With this structure, students can become part of the learning process. Cedarwood's Extended Learning program promotes the belief that "learning does not stop after the 3 o'clock bell rings".
